IN THE CLINIC
Teeter™ products have been designed to work harmoniously with your pre-existing protocols, allowing you to utilize inverted decompression in conjunction with other conventional therapeutic techniques for optimal patient outcomes. Used by naturopaths, general practitioners, chiropractors, physical therapists and other allied health professionals, practitioners are experiencing the effectiveness of inverted decompression combined with manual manipulation, massage, ultrasound, therapeutic exercise, and electrical stimulation.
Progressive traction is the defining characteristic of inverted decompression. While the body is reversed in relation to gravity, each joint is decompressed by the same weight that compresses it while upright. In contrast, mechanical traction applies one load for all joints, requiring a balance of the applied force to prevent overloading the smallest joints while enabling the largest joints to decompress.
While inverted, the reversed spinal loading increases the space between each vertebra and reduces the intervertebral disc pressure, promoting disc re-hydration and absorption of nutrients. Healthier discs and increased intervertebral separation can lead to relief of back pain, healthier nerve roots and improved joint mobility
